Luke Raffin
Luke Raffin was born in northern Italy in 1955. He emigrated with his family to Powell River, British Columbia in 1967. Realizing his talent at an early age, Luke later attended the Ontario College of Art in Toronto where he was introduced to egg tempura. From there Luke developed a traditional approach to his work in a new way and now he is recognized as one of Canada's foremost bird and wildlife painters. His egg tempuras display a wealth of intricate detail and a wonderful richness of colour, tone and realism.
